Reimagining Big Basin Incorporates Public Input

San Jose photographer Andrew P. Hill and Carrie Stevens Walter from the San Jose Woman’s Club were instrumental in the original protection of Big Basin at the turn of the previous century, and it became California's first State Park in 1902. Now, 120 years later, following a devastating fire that all but destroyed the park we knew and loved, we have the opportunity to shape this iconic park for the next 100 years.

On Monday, Feb. 12, California State Parks held an informative open house where 65 friends and neighbors of the park heard about progress on the ““Reimagining Big Basin” plan. Find out more over on Hilltromper Santa Cruz.
