Rippers seeking rippers in the South Bay: The South Bay Mountain Bike Group is a great place to meet and greet fellow fat-tire enthusiasts. Active on Meetup and Facebook, the eclectic organization attracts members ranging from rough and ready biking veterans to timid, though intrepid, beginners.
Affiliated with the ubiquitous IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association for the uninitiated), the group tours the whole of San Jose. Joining is a great way to find some new trails and up your ridding buddy quota. They stand solidly behind their “No Rider Left Behind” philosophy so no matter what your riding skills you’re sure to get in plenty of socializing.
