Bay Area history meets natural immersion on this docent-led hike in the Purisima Creek Redwoods preserve. The hike begins on the site of the colorful logging settlement of Grabtown and continues 6.5 miles through various ecosystems, from redwood forest to sweeping coastal prairie. Docents Paul Billig and Mary Bernstein will lead and interpret the surroundings of the preserve throughout the hike.
Meet at Skeggs Point on Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road. 10am. Reservations required.
