Last August, Open Road with Doug McConnell visited the Quiroste Valley on the San Mateo Coast, where Amah Mutsun tribal members are reintroducing traditional land stewardship techniques with support from Sempervirens Fund and California State Parks. Tonight the segment airs again on NBC Bay Area (Channel 11) at 6:30pm. It's a great chance to learn about how native Californians are getting back in touch with ancient ways at a site that played a pivotal role in history.
