The 1400-acre Bear Creek Redwoods Preserve is getting a public access plan that will include nearly 20 miles of trails for equestrians, hikers and possibly mountain bikers in the form of a through-trail that would serve as a connector to the John Nicholas Trail. Tonight's CEQA scoping meeting will let interested parties know about the proposed plan and alternatives under consideration. If you're interested in this little slice of heaven with its stables, its old Jesuit college ruins and its miles of trail through redwood forest, check it out.
