Be one of the first to experience the Cowell-Purisima trail. Opened only last year by the Peninsula Open Space Trust, this flat 4-mile hike will take participants from coastal prairie into riparian habitat. The open space and sweeping vistas provide a great opportunity to view raptors and grassland birds alike. Photographers of all levels are encouraged to attend. The hike will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain.
Meet in the parking lot, off CA Hwy 1, three miles south of Hwy 92. Across the street from Phillips Girls Christmas Trees and Bob's Produce. 9am-12pm. Free.
