Join Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Bobbie Riedel, and Linda Wegner together with Midpen Open Space on a scenic hike traversing four preserves. Starting at Skyline Ridge Preserve, you'll enjoy a moderately-paced loop hike along the Bay Area Ridge Trail through Monte Bello, Coal Creek, and Russian Ridge preserves. On the path you’ll experience breathtaking views and diverse landscapes including shady mixed evergreen forests, canyons, plenty of wildflowers and grassy ridges. You’ll learn how these lands were tended in ancestral times by the Ohlone people and why the land is protected today. This hike is for individuals who are comfortable with "long distance hiking" and able to walk 2.5 miles per hour. Click here for event details.
