Together with Grassroots Ecology, we will be working to care for native plants, prepare restoration areas for winter, and remove invasive plants! Activities will be bucket watering, mulching, and weeding. These activities support biodiversity at the preserve!
Restoration activities may include carrying buckets of water and mulch, digging with tools, shoveling mulch, and using wheelbarrows. They will involve lifting, carrying, bending, and walking on flat and uneven terrain.
Pearson-Arastradero Preserve has expansive oak woodlands and grasslands with beautiful trees and wildflowers. It is home to an abundance of wildlife, including deer, bobcats, coyotes, and many species of birds and insects. The work you do will support the health of the preserve's ecosystems!
